Since the launch of STiBaRC, various memes have come and gone throughout its nine years of existence. One of the most popular memes from the early era of STiBaRC was…eggs. Yes, you read that correctly, eggs! The very first person to mention eggs on STiBaRC was President Aldeenyo in January 2018. It is suggested eggs rose in popularity due to Verso constantly calling herronjo an egg sucker, though this is disputed. Even then, the community began to call each other “egg suckers”. Even herronjo himself called Microsoft’s Cortana an egg sucker! The egg phase of STiBaRC slowly faded out by the time COVID came about, however it remains an important staple of STiBaRC culture. Another popular trend amongst the STiBaRC community was the game Peggle. Around the same time eggs were popular, user Verso had an odd obsession with the unicorn rainbow puzzle game. Common reoccurring jokes in the STiBaRC community were to ban Peggle and/or Verso (ironically enough, ban [username] was also a popular joke!). Verso’s addiction of Peggle was so bad, he would buy copies of the game for fellow members of the STiBaRC community to enjoy, and due to its addicting nature, others in turn also would share Peggle-related posts (but it was still mostly Verso). For this niche obsession, herronjo awarded Verso the unique Peggle rank on his profile. This rank is still visible on his alluthus account. Now, for the real meme you’ve all been asking for: “Why Would a Website Have a Theme Song?” Apparently, this is lost media. So unfortunately, the answer remains unknown at this time. Some memes that were popular in STiBaRC actually predate the service itself. A popular meme amongst the Fiber Nova community was the usage of “rip”. Another was the ‘herronjo sensei’ meme, which simply was an image of Master Shifu. I’m sure there are a lot of other ones, but this is starting to turn into a whole essay. Essentially, a lot of weird, niche obsessions from Verso apparently became running gags of STiBaRC, who’s surprised? To close this out, perhaps it is time we find out why would a website have a theme song.
