Why BaSTPC is no longer being supported in January 2019

Recently, I have announced that BaSTPC won’t be updated anymore starting January 2019. BaSTPC was created back in September to be a cleaner client of STiBaRC on mobile devices. Unfortunately, BaSTPC was developed when I barely learned HTML. The JavaScript for BaSTPC is actually from the actual STiBaRC repo files. BaSTPC also lacks u s a g e . The majority of users use the main client, which is completely understandable. On 01 January 2019, BaSTPC general support will end. A “short term” extended support period will begin the same day. During this period, only important and security updates will occur. After 31 March 2019, the short term extended support period will end. When the short term extended support period ends, the service will no longer receive any updates. You will also no longer be able to log in with your STiBaRC account, create posts, edit posts, vote on posts, edit profile settings, or comment on posts. Users will still be able to view posts and comments. The BaSTPC app on Android OS and Fire Tablet devices will warn you to use the STiBaRC app shortly after the short term extended support period begins. After 31 April 2018, you will also no longer be able to log in with your STiBaRC account, create posts, edit posts, vote on posts, edit profile settings, or comment on posts. Users will still be able to view posts and comments. The BaSTPC app will be removed from Google Play and Amazon shortly after. It is recommended to uninstall the BaSTPC app after 31 March. The app will warn users to use the main client. Thank you to the few users who used BaSTPC! It is sad to see this go, but it is pointless to continue it. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
